There are 16 in the state, and they act as the umbrella for senior services in their region.
Michigan Medicare/Medicaid Assistance Program
MMAP, Inc. works through the Area Agencies on Aging to provide high quality and accessible health benefit information and counseling.
Living Well, Aging Well
This office provides an abundance of information, and links to other sources, for seniors and their families.
Long Term Care Ombudsman
This office offers a vital free service: it handles complaints from residents of nursing homes, homes for the aged, and adult foster care facilities, and complaints of concerned family members.
Experience Works
Experience Works helps low-income seniors get the training they need to find good jobs in their local communities. If you are 55 or older, with an income no more than 125% of the established federal poverty income guidelines, and are unemployed, check this group out.
